Certificate Information

As Big Year participants progress through the year, there are certain milestone numbers that will be achieved. Starting at 150 species seen, there will be a new milestone level for every 25 species above that, (i.e. 175, 200, 225, etc.). As monthly totals are submitted, participants names will move up through the ranks. After the end of the competition during the Central Valley Bird Symposium, all participants will receive a certificate listing the final rank they achieved. Here are the official ranks and their corresponding names:

• Yellow-rumped Warbler Rank (150)

• Yellow Warbler Rank (175)

• Black-throated Gray Warbler Rank (200)

• Townsend's Warbler Rank (225)

• Hermit Warbler Rank (250)

• Chestnut-sided Warbler Rank (275)
