San Luis Reservoir State Recreation Area

On Highway 152, 7 miles West of I-5. Mapquest.com
Habitats
This area includes the Basalt Campground with lots of native and
ornamental trees; the O'Neill Forebay with open water and clumps of
vagrant attracting vegetation as well as the reservoir proper. This is a
great area for open water, grasslands, and foothill woodland.
Birds
Wintering loons, grebes, waterfowl, raptors, and migrant songbirds in
the wooded areas.
