Habitats
This area includes the largest stand of Valley Oak riparian woodlands in the central valley. It has been left natural with a thick understory of grapes, berries and willows.

Birds
Wintering sparrows, wrens, thrushes, wrentit, thrasher and migrating songbirds. A Yellow-billed Cuckoo was heard here in the summer of 1999 by a group studying the Riparian Brush Rabbit. This is a regular spot for White-throated Sparrow and Winter Wren. Hooded Warbler and Chestnut-sided Warbler have been found here.
